fave products // tata harper clarifying mask

Everyone has bad skin days, and lately I feel like I've had more than my fair share. With all the makeup, air travel, and harsh weather changes it's been through, it's no surprise that mild irritation can occur. Tata Harper Clarifying Mask to the rescue! This complexion clearing treatment boasts an AHA superfruit blend to refine the appearance of pores, as well as quartz sand micro crystals that gently exfoliate to help create smoother skin. Meanwhile the salicylic acid trio works to treat and prevent blemishes as the mask sets. I was a bit worried it would be too drying, but it hasn't caused any extra dryness or irritation, and has really helped any redness and blemishes I've had! It's also a great complement to my Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask for whenever my skin needs that extra glow. As with all Tata Harper products, the ingredients are all-natural and non-toxic, which is a huge pro in my book. What are you waiting for- get green!

fave products // renée rouleau post-breakout fading gel

Everyone gets breakouts or the random blemish from time to time. One thing I've noticed as I've gotten older is that some blemishes take longer to heal than they used to. It seems like a little mark or scar lingers for a while, which is pretty freaking annoying, to be honest. Brighteners and exfoliators are pretty common these days, and for good reason. Both can be used to help reduce the appearance of any discoloration on your face, as well as quicken recovery time. Renée Rouleau Post-Breakout Fading Gel is a fast-acting acne scar treatment that helps lighten and fade any marks left from those pesky blemishes. White tea and sea whip extracts are powerful anti-inflammatory agents, with gentle soothing components as well. Lactic and glycolic acids work to exfoliate the skin, promoting a nice, even-toned complexion. Obviously, the effectiveness of the product depends on the severity of the blemish, so make sure you don't make things worse by picking! I know it can be hard to resist at times- trust me, I've been there- but I promise it's in your best interest. I've been using the gel pretty regularly for a while now, and can happily say that it's helped with any lingering dark spots and marks I have! I love when a product does what it says it'll do, so I definitely plan to keep a bottle of this in my cabinet going forward. The Texan in me got excited that Renée herself is an Austin-based skin-care expert and esthetician, and even better- her company is certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny! I've also been trying out (and really enjoying!) some other Renée Rouleau products as well, so keep an eye out for more reviews soon!

fave products // glossier cloud paint blush

For most of my makeup-wearing life, I've tended to use powder blush. I think just because it was the most easily accessible type of blush on the market, but nowadays, it seems the options are endless! Enter Glossier Cloud Paint. This cream blush is literally one of the easiest products to apply- just dab it on with your fingers! I like to use a combination of two (Haze & Beam), and blend them together a bit. You could even choose a darker color for more of a contour, while using a lighter color as a highlighter. Cloud Paint's sheer and buildable gel-cream formula is inspired by gradient pink New York City sunsets, so there are several beautiful shades that work for all sorts of skin tones. I love that it gives me a healthy, subtle hue (which can be more-so if you desire!), and creates that perfect flushed glow on my cheeks! Plus it has collagen to help plump the skin, which is just an extra fun bonus. A little goes a long way, so each little tube should last you a while. I think now I need to add the other two shades (Haze & Puff) to my collection, and play around with all four :) Glossier is one of my fave go-to makeup brands- read my other posts about them here and here! Perhaps I need to try out some of their skincare products as well? Off to research!

fave products // rejuvenated h3o hydration & night repair

With all the traveling I do for work, it's important to give my skin plenty of extra hydration to keep it looking radiant and fresh. On a recent shoot in South Africa, my skin was looking a bit haggard, but luckily the makeup artist saved the day with these Rejuvenated H3O Hydration sachets that are super easy to pop into a glass of water. These provide your skin with key minerals and ions that are super important for maintaining its health, while also enhancing its water absorption. Rich in calcium, magnesium, and vitamin C, H3O aids in cell division, reduces the look of fatigued skin, and protects cells from oxidative stress. Hyaluronic acid is the secret weapon here, providing hypotonic hydration and ensuring better days for your skin sooner than later!

Similarly, Rejuvenated H3O Night Repair works its magic while you sleep. Potent herbs and antioxidants join a slew of vitamins and minerals to provide your skin with serious hydration overnight. Pine bark, grape seed extract, and astaxanthin (powerful antioxidant from the sea!) come together to make sure you wake up refreshed and renewed! A huge bonus in my book is that both of these products are perfect for travel too- just pop them in your bag and go! I definitely recommend trying these out along with their Collagen Shots as well for beautiful skin from within.

fave products // tata harper hydrating floral essence

I love a good face mist as much as the next skincare junkie, but one that hydrates, refreshes, and boosts my skin's appearance? Even better! Tata Harper's Hydrating Floral Essence works as a moisture boosting toner by helping to increase your skin's elasticity and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Since the mist is said to improve the effectiveness of your serums and moisturizer, I sometimes add a spritz of it post-cleansing, before finishing the rest of my skincare regimen. As with all Tata Harper products, it's made from a completely natural and non-toxic formula, making it great for those with sensitive skin like me. I like to toss the travel size bottle in my purse for an easy pick-me-up whenever my skin is feeling a little blah. It's also a nice way to refresh your makeup after it's been sitting on your skin all day. A couple spritzes and I'm feeling refreshed and ready for what's next!

fave products // w3ll people bio booster facial serum

I'm back again with more natural skincare goodness care of W3ll People! Their Bio Booster Facial Serum is a seven-in-one formula that does practically everything, from hydrating and repairing to brightening and calming. Thanks to its impressive list of organic botanicals like turmeric, broccoli seed, black cumin, and algae complex, this serum works to rejuvenate my skin and even helps prevent breakouts.

While I sometimes use this as an actual serum followed by a different face oil, I also frequently use it as an oil all on its own (because let's be real- the fewer steps the better). To me, it offers the best of both worlds and is much more hydrating than your typical serum. I also like adding a couple drops to the Bio Tint Multi-Action Moisturizer for a truly flawless application. As always with W3ll People products, you won't find any of the yucky stuff (like parabens or synthetic fragrances) in this serum, which is a huge bonus when you have sensitive skin like mine.
